FIELD: restoration of museum exhibits; applicable in restoration of products manufactured from organic materials, such as books, clothes, stuffed animals, , furniture, etc. SUBSTANCE: method for restoration of organic fibrous materials and products manufactured from them which are damaged by moisture includes installation of the object to be restored into containers with wood sawdust and drying with gaseous agent in drying space. Novelty consists in that sawdust is preliminarily conditioned to moisture content corresponding to air-dried state at temperature of drying stage determined from the range of 30 to 65 C. In so doing, prior to drying stage, the object to be restored is subjected to preliminary heating by increasing the temperature of heat carrier from the steady state value of temperature in the drying space up to the temperature value of the drying stage with the rate of 0.1-2 C/h. The best results in restoration of the structure and mechanical properties may be obtained by selecting of mass ratio between the object to be restored and sawdust from the expression0.5, where Pf is mass of moist fibrous material of the organic origin; and Ps is mass of conditioned wood sawdust. EFFECT: prevented warping during restoration of the materials of organic origin and products from them which are damaged by moisture, and restored their mechanical properties. |
