A shift register is provided, which can prevent the threshold voltage of the switching element from increasing to one side by periodically setting up the negative bias condition and positive bias condition by the switching element. A plurality of stages successively outputs the scan pulse. Each stage comprises the node control part, the output unit, and the power selector. The node control part(NC) controls the signal state of the reset node and set note. The output unit(OP) is controlled by the signal state of the reset node and set note and outputs the scan pulse through the output terminal. According to the signal state of the set note, the power selector(777) selects one out of the high potential voltage and low level voltage and outputs the selected voltage by the power output terminal. The node control part comprises the switching element.
