FIELD: automotive industry; automobiles, tractors. SUBSTANCE: self-locking differential has differential train with carrier, planet pinions, central wheels rigidly connected with axle-shafts of driving wheels, and locking device made in form of two-way overrunning clutches, each additionally furnished with inertia disk with friction members and carriers of solids of revolution. Driving clutch members are rigidly coupled to each other and to differential carrier and each clutch driven member is coupled with corresponding central wheel. Disks are freely fitted on axle-shafts, solids of revolution are located in carriers, and friction members are installed to provide engagement of disk with driven clutch member with friction torque between disk and clutch member smaller than inertia torque of disk relative to clutch member at wheel slipping, and greater than friction torque at maneuvering and starting from rest. EFFECT: reduced power losses caused by wear of running gear owing to increase in response; simplified design of driving axle. 4 cl, 2 dwg |
