PURPOSE: To prevent a sense of incompatibility from being given to a driver by restraining a vehicle from being accelerated when the traveling environment is deteriorated under constant speed travel control in the same way as when the traveling environment is excellent. CONSTITUTION: A constant speed travel control device 3 is provided with an actuator 15 adjusting an aperture angle of a throttle valve 7, a speed sensor 22, a wiper switch 25, a light switch 26, an accelerating switch 37 for increasing a target speed and an electronic control unit(ECU) 31. When a predetermined condition is effected, ECU 31 sets up a driving speed due to the speed sensor 22 at that point as a target speed and controls the actuator 15 such that the driving speed becomes the target speed. When driving environment becomes inferior and at least one of the wiper switch 25 and the light switch is switched on by a driver, the ECU 31 makes an increasing amount of the target speed due to the accelerating switch 37 smaller than in an excellent driving environment. |
