PURPOSE: To obtain an egg containing EPA and/or DHA in egg yolk at a high concentration without fish oil smell by feeding feed containing algae belonging to genus Nannochloropsis to fowl without reducing an egg-laying ratio. CONSTITUTION: Algae belonging to genus Nannochloropsis is added to feed preferably in a state of dry alga containing EPA in an amount of >=0.02wt.%, preferably about 0.06wt.% to total weight of the feed and fed to fowl. An EPA- administrating amount of 5-15mg is sufficient for a fowl per a day. |
