PRODUCTION OF PREPREG, AND PRODUCTION OF LAMINATE WITH THE PREPREG

PURPOSE: To obtain a prepreg free from the dispersion of the quality between the end edge and the center of a substrate, not curling, and thereby not deviated when piled up, by applying and impregnating a resin varnish on one side of the substrate with a roll. CONSTITUTION: A substrate 2 is allowed to pass between a coating roll 3 partially immersed in a resin varnish 1 and a press roll 4 contacting with the upper part of the roll 3 to coat and impregnate the side of the substrate with the resin varnish 1. The resin impregnated in the substrate 2 is subsequently semi-cured to obtain the objective prepreg. Therein, the resin varnish 1 is applied with a coating roll 3 having a shorter width than the width of the substrate 2 to obtain the objective prepreg wherein a non-coated part (preferably the width of the non-coated part is <=20mm from the edge of the substrate 2) is formed in the edge part 2a of the substrate 2.
