PURPOSE: To produce a wave form signal for determining a base sequence wherein ghost signal components are removed from the wave form signal of fluorescent strength per time, by multiplying a ghost generation rate by the receiving strengths of the ghost signal components from remaining three signal components in four nucleic acid bases. CONSTITUTION: In a DNA sequencer 1, the fluorescent light, etc., of a base fragment group having a prescribed width and emitted from a migration plate 2 irradiated with a laser light L is received on a CCD 3 through a lens, and the receiving strengths of the fluorescence, etc., in each lane in which four kinds of DNA bases are migrated in the presence of a color pigment marker is detected as analogous signals. The detected analogous signals are outputted to a computing treatment device 5 through a CCD driving/controlling circuit 4. In the computing treatment device, ghost signal components due to three bases except the target base component are reduced to produce a wave form signal. The wave form signals of the remaining three bases are multiplied by a ghost generation rateε, and the obtained ghost component is removed to produce the wave form signal. The same treatments are performed also for RNA.
