PURPOSE: To provide an operation device for occupant protector which can be reused without causing a bouncing in a safety sensor. CONSTITUTION: This relates to an operation device for an occupant protector equipped with a squib 5, which starts a safety means for protecting the occupant when supplied with current, a safety sensor SS, and an ignition judging circuit 10 which detects collision by the acceleration signal from an accelerometer G and outputs ignition signals to squib drive circuits 3 and 4. The ignition judging circuit 10 is equipped with a collision detection means 11, a closure detection means 12, and the first output means 13 which outputs an ignition signal when there are detection of collision and the detection of closure of the safety sensor, and the bouncing of the safety sensor SS is prevented by supplying an ignition current after closure of the safety sensor SS.
