PURPOSE: To compensate the reduction of strength due to the reduction of the viscosity of an org. thickener, to maintain the shape retentivity of a molded body and to enhance productivity by adding a hydraulic inorg. additive which hardens during heating at the time of drying after honeycomb molding as a molding aid. CONSTITUTION: When a titanium dioxide carrier is mixed with Mo, V and W as active components and an org. thickener as a molding aid and the resultant mixture is molded in a honeycomb shape, a hydraulic inorg. additive selected from among Portland cement, alumina cement and hydraulic lime is added as another molding aid. |
