PURPOSE: To improve the on-ice performance of a studless tire by forming an edge part made of rubber or synthetic resin of the prescribed hardness on the edge of a block of a block pattern tire consisting of the blowing type rubber. CONSTITUTION: An edge part 5 made of rubber or synthetic resin of 70-80 in hardness is formed on the edge of a block of a block pattern tire consisting of the blowing type rubber. The water film between the tire and the road surface is removed by the bubbles on the contact surface of the tread consisting of the blowing type rubber, and the powerful edge effect can be obtained together with the edge part formed on the edge of the block. The excellent on-ice performance which can not be obtained with the conventional studless tire is obtained. |
