PURPOSE: To make both strength requirements and ornamental requirements simultaneously satisfied. CONSTITUTION: The side molding 10 is provided with an ornamental section 20 and a rib section 30. The ornamental section 20 is provided with a projected section 22 which is mostly projected toward a door, and with curved sections 24 and 24 each of which is obliquely extended toward the door. And the rib section 30 is provided with a hollow section 32 formed in the back face of the projected section 22, and with reinforcing leg sections 34 each of which is extended toward the door from the hollow section 32. The side molding 10 is molded by a hollow injection molding method. The employment of the aforesaid method can make its appearance excellent while molding sinks, wrinkles and the like are eliminated from the surface of the ornamental section even if a thick wall section is formed on the back face of the ornamental section, which enhances the stiffness and impact strength of the side molding 10.
