PURPOSE: To improve the control accuracy of a throttle valve by an actuator and the detecting accuracy of a throttle sensor, being hardly influenced by intake negative pressure. CONSTITUTION: In a throttle control device having a first gear 50 fixed to a throttle valve stem, the shaft center position of a second gear 60 is disposed in a range of 45 deg. or less (θ1 =-45 deg.-+45 deg.) to a straight line orthogonal to an intake passage and passing the throttle valve steam center. In the totally closed state of a throttle valve 40, the driving pin 32 of a throttle sensor is disposed in a range of 45 deg. or less (θ2 =-45 deg.-+45 deg.) to a straight line passing the throttle valve stem, on the center of the intake passage.
