PURPOSE: To provide an ultrasonic probe; which lessens the signal leakage by acoustic coupling between vibrator sections and improving a bearing resolution and sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: This ultrasonic probe 1 has arrangement type vibrators 3 formed by arranging the many vibrator sections 2 of a laminated structure at every specified spacing and consists of piezoelectric elements 4, acoustic matching layers 5 formed on the front surfaces on the ultrasonic radiation side of these piezoelectric elements 4 and backing materials 6 which are formed on the rear surface side of the arrangement type vibrators 3 and are bored in a part of each of the plural spacing. First packing layers 7a1 are formed in the spacings between the backing materials 6 adjacent to each other, second packing layers 7a2 in the spacings between the piezoelectric elements 4 adjacent to each other and third packing layers 7a3 in the spacings between the acoustic matching layers 5 adjacent to each other. |
