PURPOSE: To obtain an org.-inorg. hybrid thermosetting, flame-retardant foam compsn. which is lightweight and excellent in mechanical strengths, water resistance, and fireproofness by reacting a specific org. component with a specific inorg. aggregate under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION: An org. component comprising an aq. polyvalent aminoplast resin soln., a specific org. polyisocyanate, a specific catalyst, and a specific foam stabilizer is reacted with a specified amt. of an inorg. aggregate hardenable by hydration in the presence of water in an amt. specified based on the theoretical amt. for hardening the aggregate. The aq. aminoplast resin soln. is selected from among an aq. aminoplast resin soln. (A) contg. a specified amt. of a monomer and/or its precondensate obtd. by the addition reaction of 1.8-4mol of formaldehyde with mol of anε-triazine-type amino compd. having two or three active amino groups, an aq. aminoplast resin soln. (B) contg. a specified amt. of a monomer and/or its precondensate obtd. by the addition reaction of 0.75-3mol of formaldehyde with 1mol of (thio)urea, and a mixture (C) of components A and B. |
