PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the influence of air carried by a moving support and to attain the complete stabilization of a poured curtain by evacuating the air on the collision-wetting line of the curtain and near the support immediately above a pouring roll with an evacuating device in which an evacuating opening is arranged at the front end. SOLUTION: Air carried along a support 5 is obstructed completely by the liquid film of a curtain 3 at the section of a collision-wetting line. This process causes disturbance, for example, the deformation of the curtain 3 causing the deterioration of coating quality. Although most of air carried by a blade 7 is obstructed from the wetting line, the complete prevention of the intrusion of leaking air and the formation of a boundary layer is impossible. In order to prevent the intrusion of the leaking air completely, grooves 17 are formed over the whole length of the blade 7, arranged immediately behind the front end of the blade 7, and connected to an evacuating device through a passage 18 in order to discharge the air intruded. In this way, when the curtain 3 collides with the moving support 5, the substantial stabilization of the curtain 3 can be achieved.
