METHOD AND SHEET FOR CLEANING HEATING MEMBER

PURPOSE: To remove the contaminant of a printer to a general thermal recording material or the contaminant of a printing/erasing apparatus generated by repeating writing and erasure with respect to a reversible thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning sheet obtained by partially or entirely applying a self-adhesive to the surface of a sheet is fed to the position of the heating member of an image forming apparatus to be set to a stationary state and the heating member is pressed to the self-adhesive of the cleaning sheet to remove the contaminant on the surface of the heating member. The cleaning sheet is composed of a rough surface member of which the surface is partially roughened and the self-adhesive is applied to a part of the surface of the sheet or to the residual part thereof.
