PURPOSE: To provide a retractor fitted with a clamp equipped with a clamp release mechanism which is excellent in the mounting property to a vehicle and besides can efficiently absorb the kinetic energy generated in the body of an occupant at collision of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A clamp regulating member 16 arranged at the base 1 has a sliding face 16a which guides a wedge-shaped clamp 6 to the position of fastening a webbing and a pressure receiving face 16b for fastening and engaging the lead of the webbing between itself and a clamp 6. The clamp regulating member 16 is arranged at a retractor capably of parallel shifting to the base plate 1e, and a plastic deformation part 24, which enables the shifting in the direction of drawing-out of the webbing of the clamp regulating member 16 by the bend 20 for locking to be deformed when specified load or over is added by the clamp 6, regulates the shifting in the shifting in the direction of drawing- out of the webbing. |
