PURPOSE: To produce an alloy for electron gun parts having high punchability by preparing an Fe-Cr-Ni base alloy containing a specific ratios of Cr, Ni and S. CONSTITUTION: The Fe-Cr-Ni base alloy composed of 15-20wt.% Cr, 9-15wt.% Ni, 0.0010-0.0050wt.% S and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is prepared. The suitable brittleness is provided for the alloy and the punchability of press working, etc., is improved by containing the suitable quantity of S in the alloy to uniformly disperse S or S compound in the grain boundary or in the grain, and the Fe-Cr-Ni base alloy for electron gun parts efficiently restraining the occurrence of burr at the time of punching is obtd. |
