PURPOSE: To allow a plurality of impression cylinders to be stocked in a printing unit preliminarily, and enable a desired impression cylinder to be used at any time by providing an impression cylinder press device having a impression cylinder press cylinder, a chain driving device adapted to position the impression cylinder to be in an impression cylinder replacement position, and an impression stocker having an elevation table driving device. CONSTITUTION: As printing conditions of the printing machine are varied, and during the replacement of an impression cylinder, an impression cylinder processing cylinder machine 18 operates to move the press movable table 10 upward, lift the impression cylinder 3 retained by a chuck device 13 up to the position not to be in touch with the form cylinder 2, at the same time, by the rotation of an elevation motor 38, the elevation table 30 is lifted up, and by determining the distance between the support shafts 22, 23 arranged upward and downward as a predetermined value, a tension is given to an endless chain 20 spread thereover for the requirement in its traveling. Next, an air cylinder 16 operates to move the retaining pin 15 backward so as to release the retaining of the shaft 4. Herein, the impression cylinder driving motor 42 rotates in order for allowing the endless chain 20 to travel so that a desired impression cylinder 3 is moved to the impression cylinder replacement position in front of the chuck device 13, and then stopped therein. |
