PURPOSE: To obtain a skin preparation for external use containing an extract of Gentiana prostrata, having excellent antioxidative potency, active oxygen- erasing ability and tyrosinase inhibitory action, and having a combination of stable aging-preventive and skin whitening effect. CONSTITUTION: This skin preparation for external use contains pref. 1-10wt.% of an extract obtained by subjecting the leaves, stems, flowers, seeds, fruits, root bases, roots, etc., of Gentiana prostrata, a kind of plant, to extraction with a water-soluble solvent such as water, ethanol, 1,3-butylene glycol or propylene glycol. According as necessary, this skin preparation for external use stands formulated with oil-and-fat, wax, hydrocarbon(s), fatty acid(s), alcoholism, ester(s), surfactant, metallic soap, pH adjuster, antiseptic, perfume, etc. |
