Device for a hydraulic motor-driven, submersible, centrifugal pump operating while suspended, preferably from the hose which serves as discharge line from the pump, the pump impeller (1), figure 1, being installed vertically and the shaft horizontally, with the hose connected to the pump in such manner that a specified horizontal distance (s) from the centre of gravity (Tp) of the pump is established or occurs when the pump is running under load. Together with the weight (g) of the pump, this lever (s) creates a moment which opposes that due to the braking action of the liquid on the pump impeller. |
