PRECISE OPTICAL SHAPING METHOD AND OPTICAL SHAPED ELEMENT

PURPOSE: To more smoothly and optically shape the inclined or curved outer surface of an optical shaped element. CONSTITUTION: In a precise optical shaping method wherein cured thin layers each formed by irradiating a photosetting slurry prepared by dispersing and holding substantially light-permeable solid fine particles in a photosetting resin to cure the same are laminated to be shaped into a predetermined three- dimensional shape, the photosetting slurry may further contain a solvent. The solid fine particles are pref. silica particles or fine particles containing silica as a main component. In this precise optical shaping method, an optical shaped element formed into a three-dimensional shape having a smoothly continuous outer surface can be obtained.
