Rotary piston engine with synchronised shafts

The centre points of the arcs (22,24) of radii (R and r) limiting the section of a rotary piston lie at the corner angles (38,40) of a rhombus. Thus the centres of the larger circle (24) are at the maximum rhombus corner angles (40) which are 5 deg. larger than the smaller rhombus angle (BETA). In their sections normal to the rod longitudinal axes, the piston interval sealing rods have surfaces which are limited from outside by circles in the case of rods which revolve round their axis (42). Each piston interval positioner has two mutually parallel and opposing guide rollers which support the positioner on the respective adjoining piston pair and are specifically interconnected (50). The profile section of the guide rollers lying parallel to the piston and rod sections are limited at their piston contact interface by the periphery of a circle whose diameter is one to four times that of the outside diameter of the sealing rod. The rods are held in their positions vis-a-vis the piston interval by noses or holes, or again pins designed into the guide rollers.
