Remote defence against guided nuclear weapons using electromagnetic field

The process for increasing the cross-section for the nuclear reaction R.n(<k>X, <k+1>X) psi , where n is a neutron, <k>X is a nucleus with mass number k, and psi is a psi -ray photon, and <k>X is a fissile nucleus which when it absorbs an extra neutron, can decay by fission or by emission of a psi -ray photon, has two decay processes in competition, and by exposure to an electromagnetic field of the correct compsn., the probability of psi -emission can be increased, a resonance process called stimulated psi -emission. A possible source of the required field is a nuclear reactor with <k>X nuclei used as a fuel operated with the correct reactor parameters in order to maximise the reaction probability of R.
