Ink ribbon storage cassette with ink storage compartment

The cassette consists of a housing (1) which incorporates a storage compartment (4) containing a part (3) which has absorbed a quantity if liquid ink. A strip (5), which absorbs ink from the storage part, covers an opening (8) of the compartment (4). A roller (11) over which the ink ribbon (R) runs is in contact with the strip (5) so that the ribbon, which runs over it, is pushed against the strip (5) and absorbs ink from it. The part (3), which contains the ink, has a cut-out (9) which is in line with an opening (8) in the ink storage compartment so that the ink-strip (5) can be deflected inward when the roller (11) pushes against it.
