摘要 |
A new image-receiving medium which is used in combination with a thermal transfer sheet and comprises a laminated structure of one or more polyvinylchloride resin sheet(s). The laminating layer (1) adjacent to the thermal transfer sheet is a layer that receives dyes from the thermal transfer sheet, and contains 0.1-10 pts. wt. of plasticiser and, opt., 0.1-5 pts. wt. of smoother per 100 pts. wt. of polyvinyl chloride resin. The layer (1) contains no dyes. A typical image-receiving medium comprises a centre core made of a hard polyvinyl chloride resin (white) and two oversheets, made of polyvinyl chloride resin compsn. (transparent) laminated on either side of the centre core. The softening pt. (using the JIS-K-6734 standard) of the polyvinyl chloride is 50-70 deg.C. The image information is contained between the centre core and the oversheet. The formation of images using this image-receiving medium is carried out by using a complex combination of sublimation-type and melting type thermal transfer sheets. The former are used for yellow, magenta and cyan colours and the latter for black and white images. |
