Distillation and pervaporation of solvents from fluid mixts. comprises: (a) evaporating the fluid mixt. using a rotary evaporator; and (b) passing the gas mixt. by a gas-impervious selective membrane (whose permeate-site partial pressure is lower than that of the gas mixt.), so that a permeate (whose concn. of organophilic solvents is higher than that of the distilled retentate) is sepd. Also new is an appts. for carrying out the above process.
