The proposal is for a multi-component transport container, especially for the transport by air of dangerous or delicate items, consisting of an inflatable, double-walled inner container (2), an outer container (7) of elastically deformable material which can be securely and hermetically sealed by covers (12) and a rigid frame (14) consisting of hollow sections, in which the outer container (7) is suspended elastically in the frame, while the inner container (2) is maintained in the outer container (7) by the pressurized air chamber (2a) without any permanent bond to said outer container. The inner container (2) forms a cell to contain the items to be transported radially inside said chamber.
