Protective hood for lorry driver's seat

The protective hood (4a) has two side parts (8a) which cover the head of the driver at least at ear height. The inner sides facing the head have a lining of sound-absorbent material. The sides are rigidly fastened to the back rest (6) and are connected by a hood (9) which extends across the head area. This also has a sound-absorbent lining. The sides have integrated loudspeakers (10).
