The WC lid holder (1) is run first into 8 mm holes of the toilet lid and then into 15 mm holes. When the lever (5) is shifted over it moves the clamping sleeve (4) towards the rubber ring (3) to compress it. The ring can only extend outwards due to the spacer rings (2,6) and it is this movement which necessarily squeezes the lid and holder to one another. Release is by simple reverse movement.
