<p>Waste solution, used to develop a pigment-containing nonsilver photosensitive material, is introduced to a filter, in which the solution flows along a membrane that filters pigment particles, so that the developer passing through the membrane is recovered for reuse. According to this method, the waste of solution can be drastically reduced, and a continuous operation of developing can be stably made for a long time by using this processing method together with the conventional method. When the automatic developing machine of this invention is used, a high sensitivity photopolymerizable lithographic plate can be quickly processed by an alkaline developer in the same way as a general-purpose photosensitive lithographic plate, and the developer can last longer because it produces less sludge.</p> |
