PERFORMANCE TESTING APPARATUS FOR MAGNETO OF AIRCRAFT

Disclosed is a device of testing the performance of a magneto for aircraft. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, the device comprises: a magneto for outputting a high voltage pulse for a spark discharge by the rotation of a permanent magnet; a rotation number extracting unit for extracting the number of rotations from a servomotor of rotating the permanent magnet and from a motor control unit; cables for tests, detachably connected to an outputting end of the magneto; at least a pair of electrodes for tests, arranged at the end of the cables at intervals for allowing the spark discharge by the rotation of magneto; a current transformer (CT) for measuring changes in a current by being connected to the cables for tests in series; a number extracting unit for extracting the number of spark discharges between the pair of electrodes for tests based on the information on currents sensed by the CT; and a control unit for checking the operation of the magneto by comparing the number of generated spark discharges extracted by the number extracting unit with the number of normal spark discharges computed by the number of rotations extracted by the rotation number extracting unit. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a device of testing the performance of a magneto for an aircraft, capable of checking the operation of a magneto by extracting the number of spark discharges in a magneto accurately.
