<p>A steam cracking method and plant wherein coking of the quenching exchangers (4) and the cracked gas discharge lines (5) may be eliminated or greatly reduced without contaminating the produced pyrolytic oil. Solid erosive particles are circulated through the plant. At least some of the particles are coke particles fed in downstream from the cracking region (2) and at least partially circulating as far as the direct cracked gas quenching means (6). The particles are injected in amounts sufficient to limit the increase in the temperature of the quenching exchanger effluents to a value of less than 100 °C per month. Moreover, chemical additives enable coking of the cracking region (2) to be restricted.</p> |
