Polyester/polyepoxide/rubber alloys

A novel polymer compsn. comprises (by wt.): (A) 10-30 pts. polyester precondensed and then subsequently condensed to intrinsic viscosity 0.13-0.35 dl/g, Tg at least 50 deg.C and acid no. 5-50 using a feed of (i) 100 mols. alkyl dicarboxylic acid of 2-16C total, aryl dicarboxylic acid of 8-16C total, alkyl dicarboxylate esters of 2-20C and/or alkyl-substd. aryl dicarboxylate esters of 10-20C; (ii) 115-220 mols. 2-10C diol; and (iii) 2-8 mols. trimellitic anhydride, pentaerythritol, glycerol and/or tri(m)ethyol propene as chain branching agent; (B) 1-6 pts. polyepoxide; and (C) 50-150 pts. unvulcanised rubber.
