A touch-enabled liquid crystal display (10) and a touch detection method therefor. The liquid crystal display (10) comprises a display component (11) and a touch component (12). The display component (11) and the touch component (12) share a common electrode (13). The display component (11) executes consecutively multiple gate electrode driving and grayscale driving actions on each frame. The touch component (12) executes a touch detection action when the display component (11) is executing the current gate driving and grayscale driving action and the voltage (Vcom) on the common electrode (13) becomes stable. By such means, interference between a display signal and a touch signal can be reduced, thus improving display quality and touch effects. |
