Currently, among the diseases related to the immune response attacking the world's population includes cancer and inflammatory processes, which mostly incapacitate those who suffer from said conditions which are growing increasingly more numerous each year. From an immunological perspective, cancer cells can be considered as altered self-cells that have escaped the normal growth regulatory mechanisms. These cells give rise to clones that can reach a considerable size, producing a tumor or neoplasm. Krameria ramossisima has been used for its astringent properties and its antibiotic effect. The aqueous extract of Krameria ramossisima showed cytotoxic activity in-vitro against the L5178Y-R line and cytotoxicity was mediated by apoptosis activating the caspases path. |
