A process for the manufacture of colored images by electrophotographic means

Electrophotographic prodn. of a toner image comprises electrostatic charging of a photoconductor material, selective exposure, development with toner and transfer to a substrate with a coloured, solvent-soluble coating, fixing the toner image and washing out the uncovered areas of the coloured layer with solvent. The novelty is a colourless transparent toner contg. a colourless polymeric binder and a colourless polymeric charge regulator. Pref. a liq. or dry toner is used. Two or more coloured layers, each contg a pigment or dye in a ground colour of the multicoloured print, is used for making colour sepns. which are superimposed in register.
