PURPOSE:To enable corrosion resistance to be kept for a long term by surrounding a splash zone with titanium clad steel plates, to reduce the different material jointing sections of joint end surfaces extremely, and by blocking the voids of the end surfaces with corrosive metals. CONSTITUTION:The peripheries of the water face upper and lower sections to be washed with waves, of the leg column 1 or the like of a marine structure are surrounded with rectangular titanium clad steel plates 2a-2c set to be continuously jointed to upper, lower, left and right sections. In this case, the titanium clad steel plates 2b, 2c of the uppermost step and the lowermost step are jointed to each other to be arranged so that the longitudinal direction may be horizontal. Besides, when the base metals of adjacent titanium clad steel plates 2a-2c are jointed to each other, then the omitted section of titanium coupling materials 6a-6c formed at joint sections is joint covered with the same titanium batten as the coupling materials 6a-6c, to be bridged between the coupling materials 6a-6c. Then, voids to be formed on the joint exposed-end surfaces of the uppermost step and the lowermost step are sealed to be covered with fusion-fitting metals by the plasma-welding of Ag-Cu system metals. |
