The present invention relates to a wiper control apparatus and method, which prevent damage to a blade by informing a driver of a situation caused by the lack or abnormality of washer liquid and stopping the operation of a wiper in the case of the lack or abnormality of the washer liquid. The wiper control apparatus comprises: a load measuring part which measures the load of a washer motor when the washer motor is operated; a control unit which confirms the state of the washer liquid on the basis of the load measured in the load measuring part, automatically stops the operation of the wiper in the case of the lack of the washer liquid or the abnormality of the washer motor according to the confirmed results, and controls the display of the lack of the washer liquid or the abnormality of functions; and a dashboard which displays the lack of the washer liquid or the abnormality of the washer motor according to the control of the control unit. |
