PURPOSE: To reduce a postage by a method wherein a CD mailing case has a short edge having a maximum value of a mail standardizing requirement including an allowance for a short edge, a long edge having a specified dimension, and a total weight within the mail standardizing requirement when a CD is contained. CONSTITUTION: A CD 20 is placed on a base 11, and a flap 55 of a case is closed. Since the end of the base 11 is slightly recessed from the end of the CD 20, a bent part 15 between a mount 16 of the case and the flap 55 can be folded out of contact with the base 11. The CD 20 is projected approximately 1mm from the side face of the base 11. In the state that the CD 20 is contained in the case by closing the flap 55, a width L5 of the case is larger than the diameter of the CD 20 by the thickness of the paper and is the order of 1mm larger than 12cm. However, since an allowance of±2.5mm is specified as the size of the standardized mail, the CD case having a short edge of 12.25cm or less can be mailed as the standardized mail.
