TUNNEL EXCAVATOR AND TUNNEL EXCAVATING METHOD

PURPOSE: To perform excavation and the fabrication of lining material abreast with each other by connecting a front body provided with a cutter device, and a rear body from which a shaft provided with an erector device and a reaction supporting frame projects backward, to each other so as to be relatively movable. CONSTITUTION: Plural excavating jacks 5 are installed between a front body 1 with a cutter device 3 mounted on the front end part, and a rear body 2 relatively movable along an excavating direction. The rear body 2 is provided with plural shield jacks 6 in parallel. An erector device 8 and a reaction support frame 9 detachable from the inner peripheral parts of existing segments 11 are provided on a shaft 7 projecting backward of a tunnel from the rear body 2 so as to perform excavating work and lining material fabricating work abreast with each other. The front end part of the shaft 7 is oscillatingly supported through a spherical guide 18 so as to absorb the curvature of the front body 1 and rear body 2 caused by the change of an excavation path. The excavating jacks 5 are connected to the front body 1 and the shaft 7 supporting the segments 11 through the reaction support frame so as to improve the directional controllability of the excavating direction.
