FRAME RELAY EXCHANGING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a frame relay exchanging device provided with an efficient diagnosis function. CONSTITUTION: This device is composed of a duplexed control system 20 and one or plural frame relay processors 30 which are connected with the control system 20 via a duplexed common bus 25 and makes communication be performed by processing data to be transmitted and received to/from the line that each processor stores by a frame relay protocol. Each device within the frame relay processor 30 takes leadership of the diagnosis of its own device by using the diagnosis program down-loaded from the control system 20. Because each device within the frame relay processor performs the diagnosis of its own device, diagnosis time is shortened as compared with when the diagnosis is performed by the leadership of the control system via a common bus.
