PURPOSE: To provide a paper sheet sensor by which a detecting error of a paper sheet can be reduced and a tear or the like of the paper sheet can be prevented even when the paper sheet is pulled out. CONSTITUTION: A detecting piece 13 being a triangular frame shape is supported with a frame 12 at its one apex, and can tilt in the direction orthogonal to a document transfer surface. The detecting piece 13 is extended between first and second guide frames 4 and 5. A tip part 13βof the detecting piece 13 is a circular shape.
