<p>PURPOSE: To provide a number of passengers detector for bus or the like capable of almost eliminating the need of crew or the like to move inside or outside a vehicle and accurately confirming the seating state of the passengers of the vehicle of the bus or the like. CONSTITUTION: A seating sensor 4 for detecting passenger seated in a seat part 2 and outputting signals is arranged in the seat part 2 of the respective seats 1 of a bus and an infrared sensor 5a or 5b for detecting the infrared rays from the passenger seated in the seat part 2 is attached to the back surface of the backrest of the opposite seat 1 or the ceiling of the bus, etc. One passenger is detected by both seating sensor 4 and infrared sensor 5a or 5b respectively and the respective detection signals are respectively inputted to a controller. Then, when the detection signals are inputted from both seating sensor 4 and infrared sensor 5a or 5b, the controller records one passenger.</p> |
