PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for producing a picture from the description of a characteristic and outline display in the picture. SOLUTION: A producing device 20 for converting input information into a bit map is provided with a Bezier subdividing processor 38 which responds to Bezier curved line information describing the Bezier curved line of the picture. The Bezier subdividing processor executes at least one-time subdividing concerning the Bezier curved line in order to generate the Bezier curved line which is subdivided so as to permit the whole subdivided Bezier curved line to be almost the bit map resolution when the Bezier curved line is larger than the desired resolution of the bit map. The Bezier subdividing processor generates cross information from the respective Bezier curved lines which execute one-time intersection with a grid having the resolution of the bit map. Moreover, a digital processor 30 which is operation possible in order to respond to the cross information and to generate the bit map of the picture from the cross information is provided. |
