PURPOSE: To execute coating with perfect rust preventiveness and high dimensional accuracy by holding a conductive material to be coated with electrodes having conductive projections, electrodepositing a coating material thereon, removing the electrodes after precuring and subjecting the coating to normal curing. CONSTITUTION: The material which is to be coated and consists of a conductor is held by the electrodes 5 having the needle-like conductive projections. This material 1 to be coated is immersed into the coating material 2 formed by using a vehicle of a curable resin, by which the coating material 2 is electrodeposited thereon. While the material 1 to be coated is held by the electrodes 5 after the electrodeposition,the coating films of the surfaces not in contact with the electrodes 5 are pressured to about the set to touch by using IR rays, etc. The electrodes 5 are then removed and the coating films are subjected to normal curing by using an electric furnace, etc. The uncured coating material 2 flows into the deep recesses held by the needle-like projections of the electrodes 5, by which the deep recesses are changed to shallow recesses. The product having the filled traces of the needle-like projections is thus completed. |
