PURPOSE: To prevent the operating ratio of an apparatus from being lowered when a suction abnormality is generated by a method wherein a plurality of groups of component feed cassettes in the same arrangement are installed. CONSTITUTION: Component feed cassettes 10 which feed all kinds of various chip components 3 to be loaded on one prescribed printed-circuit board 7 mounted on an X-Y table 6 are placed on movement tables 11A, 11B. Arrangements of the component feed cassettes 10 on the movement tables 11A, 11B are respectively identical. At this time, when a suction abnormality is detected in any of the component feed cassettes 10, it is stopped to take out the components from the component feed cassette 10 in which the suction abnormality has been detected, and a loading operation is continued on the basis of loading data. The movement of feed bases 11A, 11B is controlled in such a way that, after the component in the last order has been taken out, components are taken out from a cassette, arranged in another group, which feeds components of the same kind as that of the component feed cassette 10 which has stopped taking out the components and that the components are loaded on the board. |
