摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a friction torque device provided with a simply structured friction surface wear automatic adjusting mechanism having a very small number of mutual connecting components disposed in the housing or the cover of the friction torque device. CONSTITUTION: An adjusting mechanism 42 is provided with a first cam ring 46, and a second cam ring 48 adjacent to the first cam ring. The first cam ring is moved without bringing about axial rotation with respect to the cover of a friction torque device. The cover is fixed so as to transmit torque to a driving member. The second cam ring rotated with respect to the cover and the first cam ring, The first cam ring has a plurality of annular slopes 80 in the axial direction surface 79 of the cam ring. The second cam ring has a plurality of annular slopes 88 in an axial direction surface 87 opposite the axial direction surface of the first cam ring. During the mutual rotation of the cam rings, both slopes are operated on the cams of each other, and the axial displacements of both cam rings are increased.
