PURPOSE: To execute an excellent double-sided image formation by eliminating the various kinds of problems caused by an oil component stuck to the sheet holding surface of a transfer body when the double-sided image formation is executed in an image forming device provided with a double-sided image forming function. CONSTITUTION: This image forming device is provided with a special control means 6 executing such an additional operation that a cleaning sheet 7 for absorbing an oil component 7 whose size is equal to or larger than the size of a recording sheet 4 is supplied and held on the sheet holding surface of the transfer body 3 after an image is formed on a second sheet surface when the double-sided image formation is executed, and the sheet holding surface is cleaned by a cleaning means 46 after the sheet 7 is peeled by a peeling means 47. |
