<p>PURPOSE: To cut bar steel into each product with an accurate length and also, reduce the maintenance and management expenses of the device by omitting a measuring device requiring maintenance inspection, concerning the device which cuts the linear steel rolled and cooled with a bar steel rolling facility into specified length. CONSTITUTION: The position of creep speed reduction is detected by the feed length detection means provided at a straightener 4 or a feed roller on the upstream side of a cutter 6, and the feed lengths L1 -L8 detected with the feed length detection means are corrected by the arrival to noncontact detectors 11a-18a for detection of the tips of a multiple bar steel 10 arranged each at specified distance, according to the cutting length of each product, from the cutter downstream of the cutter 6. Hereby, the product length of the bar steel 10 can be measured accurately with noncontact and be cut in stoppage.</p> |
